Pity about Catholic Boy being out of the trail, he bled badly at the Florida Derby despite the Lasix. The connections will give him hyperbaric oxygen therapy and rest to heal out his lungs. Also, a shame that McKinzie has to suspend so he can heal out his hock for the summer.

Future Pool 4 odds are not as delicious as the previous ones. In Pool 3, you can get Audible at 13-1 and Mendelssohn at 28-1. I got lucky in Pool 2: I put 6 bux on Mendelssohn at 44-1. If he could deliver on Derby Day like he did in Dubai, I’m going to use that money towards a security deposit on my future apartment. My coworker is even luckier: He wagered an undisclosed amount on Noble Indy, Pool 3, 60-1 final odds. We will go apeshit if one of us wins.

Last year in Future Pool 4, 14 of the horses listed went on to race in the Derby. Always Dreaming was on the list with final odds of 6-1. He was the second favorite after McCraken (5-1).

In the history of the Future Wager, there were only three times the favorite of the final pool became the Derby winner: Nyquist (2016), Big Brown (2008), and Fusaichi Pegasus (2000).
