At least they are not using Comic Sans. That would get a wicked visceral reaction!

I’ve seen too many congregations that used the Papryus font in their bulletin, mainly to evoke feelings about the timelessness of the Christian message. Worse yet, restaurants that want to have an upscale image would use that overused font in their menu. Stop it, guys. When even the creator complains about overuse, you know that is time to use a more appropriate font.

Let me recommend a good font site. I usually buy fonts from MyFonts.com and look at the specials. A 25 dollar investment can do great wonders with printed material.

I have not been at the blog, as I had the usual load of stuff. Thank goodness I can take a break.

At the old loud purple incarnation of CarolRutz.com, I used to have a section known as “Parental Misguidance Theatre”, in which I play old clips of educational films. I grew up watching them at school, on KLCS-58, and KRCA-62 when it had their Asian programming format. They were required to air an hour of educational programming each day, so they aired educational films.

I wonder whether kids today get to watch them in class with the film projector running or whether they get to see the AIT-style programming via videotapes. Thank goodness the Internet Archive is keeping stock of these films so we can amuse ourselves and the next generation. And I’m restarting my educational film feature on this blog.

To kick off this feature, here is this really funny film of the 70s about doing dangerous dares. I saw this one for the first time on KLCS in the 90s. The sibs and I were in stitches over the kids’ antics. And it does not have an ending except the ending that you provide yourself. Did she or did she not? Hope you enjoy this.

Weeaboo Alert!

The final turn of Code Geass R2: Lelouch of the Rebellion is simply satisfying, a fitting end to this series. I do not know whether Sunrise will do a bonus episode wrapping up loose ends. It will help me figure out whether CC will finally be granted her wish.

I think that Lelouch has really died, no immortality gained by any Code and certainly not driving the hay cart. When CC was talking at the end, she is talking to him who is in the spirit world, like how the Emperor Charles communicated to the late Prince Clovis.

I can imagine the conversation between Jeremiah and Anya after the assassination:

Anya: But now what should I do?
Jeremiah: I ask the same question myself. War has lost that honor and prestige.
A: And there is not much work right now for a girl who knows how to use a Knightmare Frame.
J: Guilford suggested this idea to me…
*tosses orange to Anya*

A side note: how many of us noticed that the Empress still has her disability? A far cry from the BS idea that the disabled cannot lead. And speaking of Nunally: I bet a collective PHWOAR was shouted when she was in chains and wearing that red dress. The cosplay tailors will be very busy.
