After the Rally

Come and look at my Flickr set!

Some notes:

1) Mr Theologian was bloody impressed with the whole thing. The crowds, the message, everything. Now he understands why I’m behind the good Doctor.

2) He autographed the items of everyone in line. :O

3) Melissa Lineberry is frickin’ awesome.

When campaigns are not enough

Been working at my Java and Dreamweaver assignments, plus been following with the Paul fanboys. It has been a busy busy week!

After Super Tuesday, Preggie and I were talking about the election, and we came to the conclusion that regardless of the outcome, this is only Chapter 1 of the r3VOLution. It begins with the individual and it extends up to communities and larger bodies. After all, Dr Paul subtitled his book “A Manifesto”. He knew that after 2008 there is much more work to do, and he’s leaving us instructions.

This thread at Ron Paul Forums is quite good with an analysis of what we could have done better. The hard-core fanboys were snippy and downright vehement at the idea of such a thread; I respectfully disagree with them. It is a sign of maturity to regularly take a hard look at ourselves and the campaign and focus on what we can do in the future.

Thank you Mr Howard and Congressman Kucinich for taking a stand.

There is this guy from Ann Arbor, who believed that our Lord has told him that one day, he will meet Hillary Clinton and she will lose the election. Albert Howard, a dad of eight with a strong brew of charismatic theology and a love of music, filed the papers and ran in the New Hampshire primaries.

But he noticed that something odd occurred in the counting of the ballots: First he saw 178 votes casted for him. Then the number went to 40. What happened to the other 138? With the help of the Granny Warriors, he is able to file the paperwork for a recount.

This means that every Republican vote in the primaries must be counted, one by one.
It also means that Ron Paul’s campaign will benefit as well. Many of us suspect foul practice as well.

It is not just this eccentric guy who is doing this– Dennis Kucinich of Ohio is also doing this for the Democratic votes. He, too was afraid that something went wrong, especially when he heard that Obama did better in regions where the ballots were hand-counted than in the regions with those Diebold machines.

When I’ve heard about that, I said a prayer for these two gentlemen, thanking God for having these guys take a stand, and I prayed that NOTHING horrid would happen to them during this time. I have heard of too many stories of election skulduggery in other countries. If any of my friends would read this, I request that you pray for them as well.

So… today, I thank them for these actions. It is these actions that will bless our Country.

Note to Dr Paul.

I’ve been active in the grassroots for some time and this is the first time I’ve ever been active in a presidential campaign.

Let me cut to the chase: Respond to the New Republic piece head-on and start naming names and answer directly. And if you have bloody good evidence that there is forgery, sue the magazine for libel. I know that you have taken moral responsibility for hiring the bozos, but please, name them!

Meanwhile, the blokes at the Ron Paul Forums have done pretty intense work examining Kirchick’s material. We have invested our money and manpower into your campaign. DO NOT let us down. Thank you.

Addendum: Berin of the Gays and Lesbians for Ron Paul blog also have a detailed post on Kirchick. So basically…there is some history of muckraking.

“Random Focus Group”, my [insert body part here]!

We know what Fox News did to Dr Paul is ridiculous and despicable– in fact, even the New Hampshire GOP withdrew its official endorsement from the forum.

And to show insult to injury, Frank Luntz is suspected of using the same people for different “random focus groups”. The thing is that it is supposed to be composed of undecided voters. Instead…we have Chuck.

It would be one thing if Mr Luntz would disclose that his groups does contain members from prior sessions. But the assumption is that it is a *fresh* focus group, with new members. That is very misleading.

Ron Paul Townhall at Manchester, NH

For those who DO NOT want the media elect our next President.
For those who are TIRED with the unbalanced spin and LIES of Fox News.
For those who are CURIOUS about why I am supporting Ron Paul for President.
