Projects for This Year
My goals are simply this: to learn new skills and to master them. Here is a short list of projects I want to achieve:
The Joomla Projekt--After this Dreamweaver class, I'll be learning about Joomla!, the CMS that does wonders. Joomla is a free, open source content management system. Don't be freaked out with that term; it simply means that you can build and manage your website to your liking. Very powerful and the community is helpful.
My own portfolio-- I'm getting some stuff and demo samples ready so I can show it off here at this site. There are ways to do that; I want to incorporate that into my Joomla site for presentation.
The Freelance Lifestyle-- I wanted to go for that, and so I've been reading up tips and materials on how to start and maintain a freelance business. Freelance Switch is a great resource for learning about being a freelancer.
